Why We Don't Carry Some Essential Oils

You may have noticed we don't carry some popular essential oils. We know this can be frustrating, especially when you're looking for a particular aroma or therapeutic benefit, but there is a reason for this.

Our goal at Essential Aura is to provide you with the best quality, pure essential oils and aromatherapy products possible. This is at the heart of what we do. A major part of our mission includes only supplying ethically and sustainably harvested products. This means that we won't carry oils like Sandalwood or Rosewood, which comes from the Amazon Rainforest and is considered endangered, until there is a sustainable option available.

Fortunately, there are alternatives to these oils, in both aroma and chemical makeup. If you're looking for Rosewood, rose geranium has a very similar scent, as does Rose Otto. New farming practices for Sandalwood are cropping up in Australia, which looks promising, but we have to do our own research into their viability before we start carrying Sandalwood. Alternatives to the vulnerable frankincense carteri are frankincense serrata or frankincense frereana. Our serrata is certified organic, and our frereana is wildcrafted, which means it was grown in its natural habitat and harvested without the use of chemicals.

We want you to feel confident in every purchase you make from Essential Aura, which is why we will not supply you with unethically, unsustainably sourced products.
